ELIGIBILITY FOR SERVICES
In order to be admitted to LARC’s programs for developmental disabilities, the following requirements must be met:
- Have a diagnosis of a Developmental Disability and meet the criteria of Most-in-Need as defined in LARC’s contract with the State of Georgia DBHDD.
- Be at least 18 years of age and not served by any publicly-funded school program. Exceptions may be made for those 17 years old if they are referred by a school system. If the school system determines that the individual cannot benefit from further academic education and makes a written recommendation of placement in LARC’s program, LARC will consider placement.
- Funding preference is for those who are 22 years of age and older.
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE PROGRAM
In order to be admitted to LARC’s program for persons with other disabilities, the following eligibility requirements must be met:
- Be referred by DBHDD.
- Be at least 18 years of age and not served by any publicly-funded school program. Exceptions may be made for those 17 years old if they are referred by a school system. If the school system determines that the individual cannot benefit from further academic education and makes a written recommendation of placement in LARC’s program, LARC will consider placement.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply for Developmental Disabilities Services, you must first fill out an application. The application can be downloaded by clicking the link below or you can pick one up at our office. LARC’s role in the Admissions process is to provide you with the information and support needed to apply for services.
